Are you needing to find God in your life? Pastor Jeff reminded us Sunday that we can look to the children to show us the way. The Bible tell us that the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. The important truth is that children matter to God. God has a heart for those who cannot live without receiving help from others. These are the kind of people who are least susceptible to being overcome by pride, and God hates pride because it keeps people away from Him. Jesus said in the sermon on the mount, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, and those who hunger and thirst for righteousness”.
Mother Theresa understood this as she spent her time in places like Calcutta with her Missionaries of Charity. She knew that where there was a great need, there was also God, ready to supply. If you want to find God, go to the places in your own life, in your own heart, where you cannot live without Him and you will find Him. The places where you are desperate and in need of help, where you are hopeless, go to the places where you are not going to make it on your own, and there is where you will find God in ready supply, there to meet all of your needs.
