The Children's Ministry at Parkway Church is a fun, vibrant place full of hands-on learning. It's a place where even our youngest ones learn to love God, love life, and love others. In order to do this, we strive to create a special environment where each child feels safe and accepted. We want them to learn to be free to exress their worship to God as they learn how much He loves them.
KID’S QUEST
There is a lot going on in the Parkway Children’s Ministry! In Kids Quest, we are finishing up “Kingdom Tales” on Sundays and will be starting something new soon. A few weeks ago we started Truth Explosion on Wednesday nights. If you haven’t heard about this, ask your kids! We are learning Biblical truths as we do cool experiments and projects. If you are not currently involved in our children’s ministry, come check us out! We would love to have you!
INFANTS & TODDLERS
Let’s not forget our preschoolers and toddlers! These precious little ones are learning more about Jesus each week and they are so dear to God’s heart. They are studying God’s creation and learning so much (while having fun, of course).
If you choose to keep your child with you during the service, please know that children are welcomed and encouraged to be part of the Sunday morning worship service. However, for every family there are times when a child needs special attention. If your child’s needs become a distraction to those worshiping around you, there are two places available where you can meet his or her needs and yet continue to hear the service. There are TV and sound monitors available in the foyer and sound monitors available in the nursing mothers room (Room 3).
What to Bring to the Nursery
Always include a minimum of two diapers. Other than for special needs, disposable diapers are preferred.
Bring a complete change of clothes - socks, underpants, pants and shirt. Label each item. While every age baby may need a complete or partial change of clothing, this is particularly needed for infants and again when children are being potty trained.
For bottle-fed children less than 12 months old, please provide a plastic bottle. All bottles should be prepared (premixed formula or juice), or formula and measured water provided. The nursery has a refrigerator, microwave, and bottle warmer for your needs. If a child is in the toddler class, a small snack will be provided.
