Things just never seem to stop moving within Parkway Student Ministries. As we calm down from all of the crazy fun from the Fall Festival, we prepare for another fun month full of holidays and fundraisers. I hope all of your students enjoyed going through the Seven Deadly Sins during our series, Seven. During November, we will finish up that series and move into a brand new mini series, entitled Labels.

Whether you are in high school now or you graduated 20 years ago, you can identify with this series.  Everyone seems to get labeled at one point in their life. Whether you were the jock, the cheerleader, the outsider, the rich one, you had a label. The problem with this can be that this small insignificant label can often times become our entire identity. The cool thing about this is God has created all of us differently and it isn’t until we get close to Him that we find our true label. I hope all of you students can join us every Wednesday at 7pm for IGNITE and hear more about how you can find your true identity.

As many of you guys may know, Winterfest 2010 is approaching a lot sooner than we all think. It will be taking place January 29th to January 31st in Riverside, CA. We have made it our personal goal to make this trip as affordable for the students as absolutely possible this year, and because of that we are in the process of raising a large amount of money. We have done a great job so far, but during the month of November, we will be kicking it into high gear. Just in time for the holidays, we will be selling cookie dough, starting November 2nd. Our students have each committed to sell ten tubs, and we will also be selling them after services on Sunday.

Once again, I could never really express how grateful I am for everyone who has been able to help us out so far. You guys have played an enormous role in allowing our students to venture out and experience God’s love on a whole new level.
